BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A New Jersey man drowned in the Delaware River on Saturday night, marking the fourth drowning death in Bucks County in less than a month.

The 37-year-old who died Saturday night was out swimming with friends near Biles Island in Morrisville when the current swept him and his friend out into the Delaware River. A boater was able to rescue the friend but could not get to the man in time, Falls Township police reported.

The unidentified man's death came about two weeks after two other men drowned: one from trying to steal a boat and the other after rescuing two children. In late June, a 9-year-old drowned in New Britain.
