Human Peace Sign At Bucks County Community College

The goal is to break the world record.

LANGHORNE BOROUGH >> The 2nd Annual Human Peace Sign Committee recently met at Bucks County Community College.

Peace, unity, love and diversity will all be part of the grassroots celebration at the college, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown Township on Sunday, May 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. The Peace Center, based in Langhorne, continues to celebrate its 35th Anniversary

Among the topics of discussion at the meeting were: reaching out to students attending Bucks County Community College for their involvement, using social media as a means to publicize the event, establishing a list of musicians, deciding which food vendors to invite, organizing games for children and designing a new t-shirt for the event.

Last year marked the formation of the 1st Annual Human Peace Sign with 600 people attending. The goal for this human peace sign is to break the world record.

The event brings together citizens, community leaders and supporters from around the Delaware Valley to enjoy an afternoon of games, music and fun – culminating in the formation of the giant human peace sign.
