Snapshot: Daffodils Dazzle Before Historic Home In Yardley

Editor's Note —This is a weekly series that runs exclusively on the Yardley Patch.

YARDLEY, PA —The borough is surrounded by history.

The Yardley Historical Association is always planning events touting Yardley's past. And the Gather Place Museum has helped get black history on the map in a town where the Underground Railroad ran through it.

Then there's the Continental Tavern and a famous river nearby where a man who would be president took a team into Trenton long ago and changed history forever.

Photographer Josh Friedman knows that Yardley is surrounded by history.

So he decided to take a snapshot recently of a historical place.

Friedman found the "TeDeum" house, a historic, stone house that was originally built a few years before the American Revolution.

"I took this photograph late in the afternoon, a couple of weeks ago," he said. "I had my camera about 18 inches off the ground, to highlight the beautiful daffodils. The clouds served as a perfect lightbox, to soften the lighting on the flowers."
