Snapshot: Spring Blossoms At Old Library In Yardley
Yardley photographer Josh Friedman captures landscape frames of scenes throughout Bucks County in this Patch photo feature.

YARDLEY, PA —It was the first day of spring and Josh Friedman wanted to capture the moment.
For several days, Friedman had noticed the daffodils blooming next to the old library.
"They seemed like a perfect way to start the season," Friedman told Patch this week.

So Friedman headed there Tuesday to take his snapshot.
"Photos like this always take a bit of patience," he said. "I did not want any cars or trucks in the image. Also, the flowers waved in the breeze each time a vehicle drove by. This would have rendered them blurry in my photograph, so I had to wait a few seconds until they were still (and hoped I would have a brief break until the next car passed)."
Friedman was also mindful of how he positioned the rising sun.

He used an aperture (f/16) which would highlight the sunburst. The final image Friedman captured in his snapshot is an HDR (high dynamic range) photograph from four exposures that he merged.
"I chose to do HDR, as any situation in which you are shooting into the sun tends to be a high-contrast scene," Friedman stated.
