LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Patterson Farm is iconic. Patterson Farm is picturesque.

Patterson Farm is a place that Lower Makefield Township officials hope will be around for generations to come.

"Sometimes I find scenes interesting, when they contain two incongruous elements," Friedman told Patch recently. "It seemed there was a little yin and yang at Patterson Farm early in the morning on March 17."

The old, historic, weathered house next to Mirror Lake Road was a stark contrast to the beautiful blue, pink, and orange skies of a new day, Friedman said.

So he snapped an HDR (high dynamic range) photograph from four exposures that he merged.
