Cranston Man Snapped Lewd Images, Video, Messages To Teen: Cops

The Cranston man attempted to meet with the teen in Massachusetts, police said.

SOMERSET, MA — A Cranston man attempted to meet with a teen he had been sending lewd images, video and messages, police said

Instead of a child younger than 14, 33-year-old Michael Gallo, ran into police officers who arrested him Sunday, the Somerset, Massachusetts, police said in a media release.

The Somerset police received a report in January that Gallo had been sending the teen lewd images, video and messages via Snapchat, according to the release.

"During the communications, Gallo told the juvenile that he was 22 years old," the release said. "Investigators later determined that Gallo was actually 33 years old. The juvenile had provided their correct age to Gallo, making him aware that the individual he was communicating with was under the age of 14."

On Sunday, Gallo attempted to meet with the teen in Somerset, according to the release.

"Upon arrival, he was taken into custody by Somerset Police Detectives without incident," the release said.

He was arrested on charges of distributing obscene matter to a minor, enticement of a child under 16, and accosting or annoying another person, according to the release.
