The roundup also highlights soccer, field hockey, and volleyball results across South County and beyond, plus notes that Saturday's games are postponed due to the storm, with some football matchups moved to Sunday. 
• Jane M. Balentine Obituary, 87, of Rhode Island (news-usa.today) — Funeral services for longtime Rhode Island educator Jane M. Balentine will be held Monday, September 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Star of the Sea on Point Judith Road in Narragansett. Local residents who knew her through education or community ties are invited to attend the Mass, with burial to follow in Cranston and donations suggested to HopeHealth Hospice instead of flowers.
