5. 3rd congressional district would host Palmetto Bowl every year in proposed SC map (thestate.com) — A proposed congressional map would place Clemson Memorial Stadium in South Carolina’s 3rd District, making that district the permanent home of the Palmetto Bowl against USC. Lawmakers are weighing a GOP-favoring redistricting plan that reshapes districts statewide, shifting parts of Pickens and Oconee counties and tying Clemson’s football footprint more tightly to upstate representation.
