HME Nominated for a $50,000 Grant from Clorox

Hunt Meadows is 1 of 1577 schools participating in Clorox's Power A Bright Future Grant!

So, we're finally ready to start voting. After an extensive nomination process, we are one of 1577 schools nationwide that are participating in the Clorox Power A Bright Future $50,000 grant program. That's a big deal. We need the entire upstate to rally around us and help us win.

How do we do that? Well, the winner is the school with the most votes. It's a social media frenzy. Spread the word, use the social media sites, use word of mouth, we need a great PR campaign. So, if anyone is good at this sort of stuff and willing to work for FREE let us know. People can go to www.powerabrightfuture.com to vote for us or TEXT the code clorox2741 to 44144 to cast their daily vote.

People have to vote daily until December 9. So, what is Hunt Meadows Elementary going to do with $50,000? We're going to fund the All for $1 Bookstore which puts brand new books into the hands of students for only $1 to them. This money would help us buy a lot of books! The look on their faces when they can pick out their own book to keep is amazing.

We want students to become readers for life. We also want to take this out to the community and provide a Summer Reading Mobile Caravan where we take the books to the community during the summer months. So, we need help and our community and state can hep make our dreams a reality.
