• Lexington earns first win of the season as Wildcats pounce Swansea (lexingtonchronicle.com) — Lexington High's Wildcats finally snapped a 329-day winless streak with a dominant 47–13 home victory over Swansea, powered by 400 yards of offense and a stingy defense. The win gives Lexington its first victory of the season and fresh momentum heading into next week's matchup against Spring Valley, alongside a strong slate of other Lexington County football results.
   

• SCDOT to Temporarily Close Exit on I-26 in Lexington County for New Ramp Alignment (westmetronews.com) — If you drive I-26 eastbound near Lexington County, expect Exit 129 to US 21 to be closed from Friday night, September 11, through early Monday, September 14, for a ramp realignment. SCDOT will post a signed detour using Exit 136 and urges drivers to slow down and watch for crews in the work zone.
