• 5 dead in apparent murder-suicide among family members at Douglas home, police say (wgxa.tv) — Douglas residents are reeling after five family members were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a home on Robin Lane late Friday night. Police say officers responded to reports of an active shooter, found four people dead at the scene, and a fifth who later died at Coffee Regional Medical Center, with state investigators now handling autopsies and follow-up work. 
• GBI Arrests Coffee County Firefighter (georgia.gov) — State investigators based in Douglas have arrested Coffee County firefighter William Jerry Minix II of Nicholls on a charge of sexual battery against a child under 16. The GBI says the alleged conduct happened off duty and is asking anyone with information to contact the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office or the Douglas regional investigative office as the case continues.
• Another arrest in operation targeting online solicitation of minors (stmarynow.com) — A Douglas woman, Christina Allison Breaux, is among several people arrested in a Louisiana operation targeting online exploitation and other offenses. Breaux was stopped in Assumption Parish, jailed on fugitive warrants tied to no license and drug allegations, and later transferred to Morgan City authorities, while numerous unrelated arrests across the region are also detailed.
