A morning session targets YISD juniors and seniors, while an evening session is open to all local students and families, with workshops on scholarships and representatives from schools nationwide.

WestStar no longer facing three-year contract ban with City of El Paso (ktsm.com) — City of El Paso officials say WestStar is back in good standing after addressing concerns over its title services contract, so a proposed three-year ban on city contracts is off the table. Staff had questioned whether the bank exceeded its authority, but now accept WestStar's corrective plan and will continue working with the company on title services.

El Paso police ask for help finding missing 61-year-old man (ktsm.com) — El Paso police are asking for the public's help finding 61-year-old Melvin Garcia, who disappeared Wednesday afternoon after leaving the Salvation Army on East Paisano, saying he'd been dropped at the wrong place. Garcia, who has a mental disorder, was last seen on foot wearing a blue polo, dark green cargo pants, black orthopedic Velcro shoes and a wooden rosary.

Residents press congresswoman for answers after Marathon pollution release (cbs4local.com) — East El Paso residents packed a community meeting to demand answers after the Marathon refinery released more than 15 tons of pollutants into the air earlier this month. Neighbors questioned city, state and federal accountability as Rep. Veronica Escobar described the EPA declining to investigate, leaving oversight to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Upon A Burning Body Announce 2026 'Everything Is Heavier In Texas' Tour (themosh.net) — Metal fans in El Paso can catch Texas band Upon A Burning Body when their "Everything Is Heavier In Texas" tour hits Lowbrow Palace on December 3. The run also includes several other Texas cities and two Oklahoma dates later that month.
