3 U.S. Senators Test Positive For COVID-19: Report
The senators from Maine, Mississippi, and Colorado contracted the virus despite being fully vaccinated, according to a report.

WASHINGTON, DC — Three U.S. senators have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report from The Hill.
The senators — Angus King of Maine, Roger Wicker of Mississippi and John Hickenlooper of Colorado — said in separate announcements that they tested positive for the disease despite being fully vaccinated. Wicker is a Republican, Hickenlooper a Democrat and King an independent who caucuses with Democrats, The Hill reported.
Despite their vaccination status, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says breakthrough cases continue to be rare. The federal agency has recorded approximately 8,000 cases of COVID-19 among more than 166 million fully vaccinated Americans.
