Hillary Clinton-Related Emails Found Weeks Ago, Huma Abedin Shocked Emails Were on Anthony Weiner's Computer and More

Although FBI Director James Comey just disclosed the email findings on Friday, the agency found them weeks ago, plus more from today's news.

The potential bombshell that was dropped on Friday afternoon — that the FBI had stumbled upon a trove of emails from one of Hillary Clinton's closest aides weeks ago — continued to play out over the weekend in terms of drama but fell short in the way of information as to the content of the emails.

The Justice Department has obtained a warrant that will allow it to begin searching the computer that is believed to contain thousands of newly found emails of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin. For her part, Abedin told Clinton campaign colleagues that she was surprised by the FBI discovery and said she doesn't know how her emails wound up on the laptop belonging to her estranged husband, former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner.

Quote of the Day

Vice President Joe Biden on whether he regrets not running for president:

“I thought I could beat Hillary. I thought I could beat anybody that ran. No one should run for president unless they think they can do that. I didn’t run for one simple, overarching reason: My son was dying and he died. That’s the total reason.”
