Dallas Cowboys Running Back Breaks Elbow While Dropping Cell Phone
Darren McFadden underwent elbow surgery to repair an injury he suffered while trying not to drop his phone.
Think you're having a bad day? You could be Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden, who underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a broken elbow he suffered while trying not to drop his cell phone.
Cowboys RBs coach Gary Brown said Darren McFadden fell Memorial Day weekend on his right elbow trying to keep from dropping his cell phone.

The surgery was a success, but McFadden could be out for months, Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garret said in a news release.
“I don’t want to put too many timetables on it, but the surgery went well. The overarching thing was ‘a couple months,’” he said. “We’ll see how he responds to everything, but we do anticipate him being back at some point in training camp – possibly being able to play in the opener.”

McFadden had practiced in the week prior to his surgery, but team doctors discovered the break in his elbow and realized his injury was more severe than originally anticipated, the Cowboy's statement said.
McFadden led the Cowboys with 1,089 rushing yards in 2015, but with No. 4 draft selection Ezekiel Elliott joining the team his playing time was expected to drop. No pun intended.
