Fauci Says Change To CDC Isolation Guidelines Possible: Report
Pushback against guidelines that don't require negative tests before ending isolation for people with COVID-19 has CDC considering change.

ACROSS AMERICA — Just days after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced updates to COVID-19 guidelines, Anthony Fauci told ABC News on Sunday the organization is considering changes to the guidance.
The Tuesday update cut isolation time in half and doesn't require a negative test for people who test positive for COVID-19.
Pushback from public health officials is leading the CDC to consider recommending a negative test to end the isolation period, Fauci told ABC News.

Fauci acknowledged public pushback in an interview with "This Week" anchor George Stephanopoulos.
"Looking at it again, there may be an option in that, that testing could be a part of that," Fauci said. "And I think we're going to be hearing more about that in the next day or so from the CDC."
