Police Search For Federal Fugitive At San Antonio Mall After Reported Shooting [UPDATED]
Police urge residents to avoid the area as they investigate the scene and search for suspect.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — San Antonio residents were being urged on Tuesday to avoid North Star Mall on the city's north side as federal officials sought a suspect who reportedly shot a letter carrier.
According to local media reports, a heavy police presence is at the mall after an incident that occurred around 2 p.m. at the shopping site located at Loop 410 and San Pedro Avenue. WOAI reports that local police are assisting federal agencies in the incident.
News 4 reports that a nearby school, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School at 600 Oblate Dr., was previously placed on lock-down while police search for the suspect in the area, with students taking shelter in the cafeteria.

By late in the afternoon, local media outlets reported the mall was back to normal operation after federal officials failed to locate the suspect but did find the suspect's car.
