Kevin Spacey Apologizes To Anthony Rapp For Drunken Attack
"I want to deal with this honestly and openly and that starts with examining my own behavior," Spacey adding that he is living as a gay man.

Actor Kevin Spacey released a statement late Sunday saying he does not remember sexually assaulting fellow actor Anthony Rapp when he was 14-years-old. Rapp had made the accusation earlier Sunday in an interview with Buzzfeed.
"I honestly do not remember the encounter," Spacey said in a statement on Twitter. "If I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior.
"I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years."

Rapp said that in 1986 he was 14 years old and he was acting in a Broadway production with Ed Harris and Judith Ivey when he accepted an invitation from Spacey to come by his apartment.
"He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold," Rapp told BuzzFeed. "But I don't, like, squirm away initially, because I'm like, 'What's going on?' And then he lays down on top of me. I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.

"My stomach churns," Rapp said. "I still to this day can't wrap my head around so many aspects of it."
Rapp, who starred in the original production of "Rent" and can now be seen in "Star Trek: Discovery," says he never confronted Spacey about the incident.
The accusation against Spacey comes as scores of women have accused movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, hundreds have accused director James Toback and nearly a dozen have accused reporter Mark Halperin, among others.
Spacey said that "the story has encouraged me to address other things about my life."
"I know that there are stories out there about me and that some have been fueled by the fact that I have been so protective of my privacy," he said in the statement.
Spacey said that "as those closest to me know, in my life, I have had relationships with both men and women. I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man.
