President-Elect Donald Trump Wants Your Opinion
Here's how you tell Donald Trump what he should focus on during the outset of his presidency.
Whether you voted for him or not, President-elect Donald Trump is soliciting opinions about the top priorities of his administration by asking Americans to fill out a survey — ostensibly to "Make America Great Again."
In recent days, the Trump transition team has been blasting supporters with emails urging Americans to fill out a “100-Day Plan of Action Survey” as a measure to “determine what we MUST accomplish as our first order of business.”
Survey participants are asked to rate 29 issues Trump talked about during the 2016 campaign such as "constructing the wall" separating Mexico from the United States, repealing and replacing Obamacare, appointing a Supreme Court judge "in the mold of the late Justice Antonin Scalia" by assessing them as “highly important,” “somewhat important,” “not important” or offering them a “no opinion” rating.

While some questions are little more than gut reactions, others, such as cutting federal funding to so-called sanctuary cities like New York or Chicago could mean they lose $10.4 billion and $5 billion in federal funds, respectively. However, what could seem like a city-specific punishment could actually have an impact on a global economy, especially when it comes to travel.
Another measure,"Cancel billions of dollars in payments to U.N. climate change programs, and use that money to fix our own country" is wrong on two fronts. The U.S. currently gives about $10 million a year — not "billions" — to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Second, the U.S. is not free from climate change problems. Just ask South Florida.

However, there is one question that stands out because it was not a part of Trump's campaign yet is near and dear to his heart: Should the Trump administration "Introduce an infrastructure package to modernize our country?"
One question remains: Who, if anybody, will be reading the results? Digital campaigns often use surveys as a way to collect email addresses of supporters and donors, and the Trump campaign has had no shortage of surveys on debate preparation, a second debate preparation, a general platform, what it should do after three months of campaigning, how it should hold the mainstream media accountable, how it should hold Hillary Clinton accountable and how Trump should Make America Great Again, among others.
Yet, the Trump team is sure: “Our first hundred days in office will set the stage for our entire presidency. The world will be watching every action we take over those first hundred days. It’s incredibly important that we set the right agenda and deliver on our promises to the forgotten men and women of our country.”
