Protesters Gather After Supreme Court Strikes Down Roe V. Wade

Demonstrators spilled onto the streets of Washington after the Supreme Court ended 50 years of constitutional protection of abortion rights.

WASHINGTON — Protesters on both sides of the abortion issue spilled onto the streets surrounding the Supreme Court building in Washington Friday after the court struck down Roe v. Wade Friday.

The 6-3 decision is a culmination of decades of opposition from right-wing court members.

The protests show how polarizing the decision is.
