Texas State University Student's Death Ruled Accidental After Bus Struck Her

Officials said Jordin Taylor, 20, was dragged some 500 feet before her body was discovered stuck underneath a shuttle bus.

MARTINDALE, TX -- Law enforcement officials said the death of a Texas State University student last week was an accident.

Jordin Taylor, 20, of Burleson was found underneath a shuttle bus at an off-campus structure where a fraternity party had been staged. Guadalupe County Sheriff Arnold Zwicke said Monday an autopsy determined the student's death was consistent with having been dragged by the bus after being struck, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

The student's body was found this past Saturday underneath the bus and it was determined that she had been dragged some 500 feet. The bus had developed mechanical problems on Friday night, and that's when Taylor's body was found under the vehicle.
