'They Cannot Run’: Alleged School Shooter’s Parents Are Missing

Four days after police said 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley opened fire at Oxford High School in Michigan, killing four people and injuring several others, his parents were charged in connection with their actions in the tragedy.

James and Jennifer Crumbley are each charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter. But shortly after the charges were announced, police said the Crumbleys were nowhere to be found.

While the Crumbleys’ attorneys said the couple left town “for their safety,” police on Friday weren’t necessarily buying it.

"We have our Fugitive Apprehension Team, the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service and others are actively looking for them and have every expectation we'll have them in custody soon," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. "The action of fleeing and ignoring their attorney certainly adds weight to the charges. The man accused of killing 10 people at a Colorado King Soopers grocery store has again been deemed incompetent to stand trial.
