ACROSS AMERICA — A lot happened over the weekend, as the summer heat seems to be making an early visit — unless you're in Denver, Colorado, that is. A spring storm hit the intermountain West area, bringing with it freezing temperatures and heavy, wet snow. Aside from the stunning weather, a rare tornado found its way over to Northern Michigan, leaving two dead and homes destroyed.

Over in Oklahoma, Tiger Woods dropped out of the PGA championship on Saturday after posting his worst score in the event. Justin Thomas was later crowned the winner of the golf tournament as he collected the Wanamaker Trophy. In professional hockey, the New York Rangers defeated the Carolina Hurricanes in game 3 of the second playoffs round. In basketball, the Miami Heat beat the Boston Celtics, gaining a 2-1 lead in the NBA championship series.

Four longtime cast members of "Saturday Night Live," including Pete Davidson and Kate McKinnon, announced their retirement from the comedy sketch show. The horse Early Voting reigned victorious in the Preakness Stakes, with Epicenter coming in at a close second.

'What's Up, Jackie?'

The Chicago White Sox's Tim Anderson runs to first base after hitting a single during the first inning of a baseball game Saturday against the New York Yankees in New York. A brawl nearly erupted when the Yankees' Josh Donaldson reportedly said ,"What's up, Jackie?" to Anderson multiple times, calling it an inside joke because Anderson had referred to himself in an old interview as a modern-day Jackie Robinson, but Anderson said the comment was a "disrespectful" racial slur.
