New Market Area Library

Regular children’s programs resume in September and will run through May, 2027.&nbsp;&nbsp;Books and Babies will be held Wednesday, September 2nd at 10 am (and the first Wednesday of each month through May, 2027.)&nbsp; This program is geared for children ages 0-3 with their caregiver.&nbsp; It features stories, songs, rhymes and play.&nbsp; Preschool Story Time, for children 3-5, will be held on Friday, September 18th at 10 am (and the third Friday of each month through May, 2027.) Preschool storytime features reading books, singing songs, movement, and more.

Two Once a Month Story times at the New Market Area LIbrary

The New Market Area Library hosts a Books and Babies story time for children age birth to three and their parent/caregiver the first Wednesday of each month at 10 am from September to May.&nbsp; Activities include hearing stories, doing songs and chants, playing together, and more.&nbsp;The library hosts a Preschool Storytime the third Friday of every month at 10 am from September to May for children ages 3 to 5, and their parent/caregiver.&nbsp; &nbsp;Activities include reading books, songs, and crafts.

Books and Babies and Babies Storytime for Children and their Parent/Caregiver & Preschool Storytime 

A new adult activity will begin on Thursday, September 17, from 1 to 3 pm at the New Market Area Library. The activity, called In Stitches, will provide crafters who do knitting, crocheting, and other crafts at the library to learn more, share ideas, and work on projects. The group is for those just learning as well as those with years of experience. Sign up at the library circulation desk if interested. Bring yarn or other fiber material, needles, a current project (or just your curiosity), and a friend! The group will meet every first and third Thursdays from 1 to 3 pm.
