• Gus Bus bringing mobile classroom to children's neighborhoods (nvdaily.com) — Families in New Market can now walk their kids to the Gus Bus, a free mobile classroom stopping weekly at North Congress Street and Shenandoah Drive through December. The program offers 45‑minute, no‑registration lessons mixing reading, science, math, and STEM activities, plus a small lending library, all aimed at bringing enrichment directly into neighborhoods across Shenandoah County.
   

• Traffic delays in the Shenandoah Valley – Week of September 14, 2026 (rocktownnow.com) — Drivers in New Market should expect weekday flagger delays on Route 211 East Lee Highway for sidewalk work and on New Market Depot Road during a bridge inspection Tuesday afternoon.
