1 VA City Named Among Top Places To Live: Report

VIRGINIA — One city in Virginia is among the Top 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S. to live among small- and mid-sized cities, a report said. Virginia Beach was named the top place in the Commonwealth to live, according to a new list from Livability.com.

The curated list of cities is based on measures of a city’s economy, housing and cost of living, amenities, transportation, environment, safety, education and health.

Here's what Livability.com said about Virginia Beach: "Thousands flock to Virginia Beach, VA, each year to enjoy its beaches, but the more than 450,000 residents who call this coastal area home get VIP access to the area’s amenities year-round, from a colorful arts district to a culinary scene with festivals like a springtime she-crab soup classic.

"Excellent health care is one of many reasons Virginia Beach is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Sentara Health Care operates top-ranked hospitals in the region.
