$161M Powerball Jackpot Claimed In Virginia
The anonymous winner from Pulaski County matched all six numbers in the March 4 drawing, lottery officials said.
PULASKI COUNTY, VA — A March Powerball jackpot worth $161 million has been claimed by a winner in rural Virginia.
According to a Virginia Lottery news release, the anonymous winner matched all six numbers in the March 4 drawing. The winning numbers were 10, 16, 18, 40 and 66. The Powerball number was 16.
The winner purchased the ticket at Gill Brothers in Dublin, lottery officials said. They chose to receive their winnings in annual payments over 30 years, meaning they will receive a final prize of $156.7 million.

According to lottery officials, the Powerball jackpot was the second won in Virginia. It was also the fourth-largest lottery prize ever won in the state.
Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The odds of matching all six numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
