WARREN COUNTY, VA — Newly-released body camera footage shows the moment Virginia deputies tackled 77-year-old Ralph Ennis, slammed his head against a truck, and wrestled him to the ground, according to a report.

Thirteen days later, on April 15, Ennis died after doctors diagnosed him with a brain bleed, NBC Washington reported.

Ennis was pulled over by Warren County sheriff's deputies for speeding and driving erratically and speeding, NBC reported. While authorities said he had non-life-threatening injuries following the fall, the body camera from a Front Royal police officer shows deputies shove Ennis face-first into his truck and tackle him to the ground while seemingly tripping over the truck's trailer hitch.
