• Chatham man charged for alleged inappropriate behavior toward minor (wset.com) — Altavista police arrested a 60-year-old Chatham man after investigating reports of inappropriate contact and communication with a juvenile in town on August 25. He faces charges related to prohibited proximity to children and contributing to a child's delinquency, and is being held in Pittsylvania County Jail while police say more charges are possible.
