The two drivers continued west on Route 7 when the victim heard loud noises, which he described as gunshots. At this time, the suspect’s vehicle exited onto Loudoun County Parkway.
A short time later, the victim discovered multiple bullet holes in the rear passenger side of his car and he contacted authorities. The bullets did not penetrate the interior of the vehicle, and the victim was not injured.
Loudoun County sheriff’s deputies investigated the incident and identified Todd as being involved in the shooting. He was served on the three charges on Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said.
Shooting in Lansdowne
Todd has been in jail since Jan. 27 on charges related to a shooting in the Lansdowne area. In that case, Todd and Timothy R. Vaughn, 20, of Ashburn, were both charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and shooting into a vehicle.
The incident occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the area of Coton Hall Street and Riverpoint Drive. As deputies were canvassing the area, one deputy was approached by a man and woman, the sheriff’s office said.
They said they went to meet an acquaintance in the area of Riverpoint Drive. As they pulled up next to the suspect vehicle, a passenger brandished a firearm and fired multiple rounds into the victim’s vehicle. One round passed through the vehicle and damaged a passenger-side window, the sheriff’s office said.
