• HCA Virginia plans freestanding emergency room in Hollins, air ambulance in Danville (wsls.com) — Cave Spring residents may see their local LewisGale-affiliated ER joined by a new freestanding emergency room planned for the Hollins area of Roanoke County by 2028. HCA Virginia is also adding a second Air Care Eagle helicopter base in Danville, aiming to speed trauma and cardiac transports across Southwest Virginia, including to LewisGale Medical Center.

- I'm so thankful for the lady with the umbrella at Kroger Tanglewood yesterday, during the thunderstorm, who followed me to my car, held her umbrella over me, handed me the bags of groceries from my cart so I could put them in the trunk, and even
returned my cart to the store. What a blessing she was! May God bless her abundantly for her kindness! (Nextdoor Penn Forest) - Found Dog - Crescent Heights subdivision.
