• Courthouse roof work underway (montcova.com) — Montgomery County supervisors have approved a new five-year lease so the Eastern Montgomery Community Foundation can keep using athletic fields near Shawsville Middle School, ensuring continued access for local sports and activities. At the same meeting, they detailed a 16‑week, $1.2 million courthouse roof project that’s closing part of Pepper Street and shifting parking and pedestrian access around the county courthouse.
