• Route 29 improvements celebrated in Fairfax (virginia.gov) — Drivers traveling between Fairfax City and Centreville will soon see smoother trips as Route 29 is widened from four to six lanes between Union Mill Road and Buckleys Gate Drive. The $94.4 million project adds shared-use paths, better sightlines, and noise barriers, easing a long-standing bottleneck that has affected Centreville commuters during peak hours.
