Dulles South Station Police Report: Grand Larceny in Brambleton, Attempted Grand Larceny in Aldie

A summary of incidents reported for Oct. 27-Nov. 2.

There was one incident of attempted grand larceny, two burglaries, one destruction of property incident, one incident of grand larceny, one larceny and one incident of vehicle tampering included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on Nov. 2.  

Attempted Grand Larceny 

  • Around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, deputies were called to the 25200 block of Curiosity Square for a report of an unknown subject attempting to gain entry into vehicles in the area. The subject was described as wearing a black hoodie and a ski mask. A suspect was located and identified. The suspect, an 18-year-old Aldie man, was charged with drunk in public, underage possession of alcohol, wearing a ski mask to conceal his identity and attempted grand larceny. He remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. [Author’s Note: The Loudoun County Office of the Sheriff also listed this incident in the category of Drunk in Public.] 

Burglary

  • Between 9 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30 and 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, a rear door was damaged to gain entry into a residence on the 25200 block of Diligence Court. Items were damaged inside the home. The victims are in the process of moving and were not living at the residence during the incident. 
  • Between 7:15 p.m. and 10:29 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, unknown subject(s) entered a shed belonging to a business on the 44100 block of John Mosby Highway and removed two air compressors and a generator.  

Destruction of Property 

  • A window of a school bus on the 25400 block of Riding Center Drive was damaged between 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1 and 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.  

Grand Larceny

  • Unknown subject(s) removed bathroom appliances from a home under construction on the 22400 block of Snow Powder Terrace between 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 and 12:42 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31. Larceny 

  • Unknown subject(s) removed a kid’s lacrosse net from the backyard of a residence on the 42700 block of Ravenglass Drive between 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31 and 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1.  

Vehicle Tampering 

  • Between 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 and 7:10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, unknown subject(s) damaged the tires of a vehicle on the 25200 block of Beach Place. A second vehicle in the same area was discovered to have its tire damaged.
