Dulles South Station Police Report: Herndon Man Breaks into Chantilly Building, Charged with Unlawful Entry

A summary of incidents reported for Oct. 20-26.

There was one destruction of property incident, three larcenies and one incident of unlawful entry included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on Oct. 26.  

Destruction of Property 

  • A resident of the 42600 block of Cochrans Lock Drive heard a loud bang around 6:25 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24 and discovered their mailbox was damaged. A green SUV was observed driving away from the area. 

Larcenies

  • Around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, unknown subject(s) removed a scooter from an open garage on the 43300 block of Stonegarden Terrace.
  • Around 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle on the 39200 block of John Mosby Highway and removed a purse and its contents.
  • Between 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 and 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, unknown subject(s) removed a heater blower motor from a home under construction on the 22800 block of Goldsborough Terrace.  

Unlawful Entry 

  • Around 7:40 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, deputies were in the area of the 42500 block of John Mosby Highway for a disorderly conduct call. One of the subjects involved entered a locked building and was later located. A 31-year-old Herndon man was charged with unlawful entry, destruction of property and obstruction of justice.
