Dulles South Station Police Report: Suspicious Man Observed at South Riding Children’s Center, Teens Caught With Allegedly Stolen Alcohol

A summary of incidents reported for August 18-24.

There was one auto theft, two destruction of property incidents, nine larcenies and two incidents of unlawful entry included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on August 24.  

Auto Theft 

  • The auto theft victim reported that three male subjects who were invited to her residence on the 42900 block of Bridgehampton Square took the keys to her 2004 Pontiac Vibe between 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 21 and 12 p.m. on Monday, August 22 and removed her vehicle without her knowledge. 

Destruction of Property

  • A deputy on patrol observed an unsecured front door on the 22800 block of Quante Square between 12 a.m. and 1:54 a.m. on Friday, August 19. The door appeared to have been damaged to gain entry. Nothing appeared to be missing. [Author’s Note: The Loudoun County Office of the Sheriff also listed this incident in the category of Forced Entry.]
  • The windows of a vehicle on the 25200 block of Caversham Terrace were damaged between 11 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23 and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24.  

Larcenies 

  • Unknown subject(s) removed two compressors from a construction site on the 25000 block of Croxley Green Square between 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17 and 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 18. 
  • Unknown subject(s) removed two air handlers from a construction site on the 41600 block of Saint Albans Terrace between 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17 and 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 18. 
  • Unknown subject(s) entered an open garage and an unsecured vehicle on the 43900 block of Churchill Glen Drive between 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 18 and 5 a.m. on Friday, August 19. A GPS unit was stolen. 
  • A wallet that was left unattended was taken from outside a residence on the 25400 block of Carrington Drive between 5:15 p.m. and 5:25 p.m. on Friday, August 19. 
  • Unknown subject(s) removed a driver’s side mirror from a vehicle on the 25100 block of Monteith Terrace between 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 21 and 2 p.m. on Monday, August 22. 
  • Unknown subject(s) entered an unlocked vehicle on the 43300 block of Wheatlands Chase Court between 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21 and 4:30 a.m. on Monday, August 22 and removed cash and sunglasses. 
  • Unknown subject(s) entered an unlocked vehicle on the 22700 block of Oatlands Grove Place between 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 21 and 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 22 and removed a wallet.
  • Unknown subject(s) removed copper lines and wiring from a construction site on the 41000 block of Willowsford Lane around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23. 
  • Deputies responded to the area of Tudling Alley and Warbuckle Alley in South Riding between 1 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24 for a report of three subjects in the area possibly entering open garages. The subjects ran but were ultimately identified as three 14-year-old males. One teen was found to have a bottle of alcohol that was apparently removed from a garage. Petitions are pending at this time. 

Unlawful Entry

  • An unknown male was observed inside the South Riding Children’s Center on the 25400 block of South Riding Boulevard at 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 20. The subject fled the scene. 
  • Unknown subject(s) removed a bicycle from a garage on the 42200 block of Magistrate Court between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23. [Author’s Note: The Loudoun County Office of the Sheriff also listed this incident in the category of Larceny.
