Dulles South Station Police Report: Two Missile at a Vehicle Incidents in Chantilly, Multiple Other Vehicles Damaged in South Riding Area

A summary of incidents reported for Nov. 3-9.

There were three destruction of property incidents, two larcenies, two missile at a vehicle incidents and one suspicious person incident included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on Nov. 9.  

Destruction of Property 

  • Between 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, unknown subject(s) damaged three windows of a vehicle on the 25900 block of Rachel Hill Drive. The window was damaged by a possible projectile. 
  • A resident of the 43400 block of Laidlow Street reported finding a dent in their vehicle possibly caused by a projectile between 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6. 
  • Unknown subject(s) damaged a driver side passenger window of a vehicle on the 25300 block of Whippoorwill Terrace between 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6 and 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 7. The window was damaged by a possible projectile. 

Larcenies

  • Between 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, unknown subject(s) removed a part to an air conditioner from a home under construction on the 42400 block of Mandolin Street. 
  • Around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, unknown subject(s) entered homes under construction on the 25100 block of Himalayas Terrace and removed HVAC parts.  

Missile at a Vehicle 

  • Just after midnight on Saturday, Nov. 5, unknown subject(s) damaged the rear window of a vehicle on the 43400 block of Edgewater Street. The window was damaged by a possible projectile. 
  • Between 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 and midnight on Saturday, Nov. 5, unknown subject(s) damaged the rear window of a vehicle on the 41860 block of Feldspar Place. The window was damaged by a possible projectile. 

Suspicious Person

  • Around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, deputies responded to the area of Route 659 and Providence Ridge Drive for a subject who was knocking on doors and asking for money. A 26-year-old Chantilly man was charged with drunk in public. [Author’s Note: The Loudoun County Office of the Sheriff also listed this incident in the category of Drunk in Public.
