Dulles South Station Weekly Police Report

A summary of incidents reported for May 3-11.

Between May 3 and 11, there was one burglary, two destruction of property incidents, nine larcenies, one suspicious person and two incidents of vehicle tampering reported in the Dulles South Station district. 

Burglaries

  • Unknown subject(s) removed a camera from an unlocked residents on the 21800 block of Inglewood Court between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, May 6.  

Destruction of Property

  • Unknown subject(s) damaged the driver’s side lock of a vehicle car door on the 261oo block of Lands End Drive between 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 and 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4. The interior of the vehicle had been rummaged through. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Unknown subject(s) damaged electrical lines to a home under construction on the 41800 block of Rawnsley Drive between 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10 and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11.  

Larcenies 

  • Unknown subject(s) removed a bathroom vanity from a home under construction on the 25100 block of Riding Center Drive between 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 and 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4. The vanity was located in the garage waiting to be installed. 
  • Unknown subject(s) removed a GPS and license from an unlocked vehicle on the 25900 block of Sarazen Drive between 10 p.m. on Friday, May 6 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
  • Unknown subject(s) removed 25 concrete forms totaling $9,500 from a construction site near Winter Haven Drive and Northstar Boulevard around 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7.
  • Unknown subject(s) removed a cell phone from a model home on the 25100 block of Barkhamsted Drive around 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
  • Unknown subject(s) removed an iPod from a vehicle on the 22800 block of Cartier Terrace around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 8.
  • Unknown subject(s) removed a GPS and garage door opener from an unlocked vehicle on the 25800 block of Sarazen Drive between 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 and 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 8. 
  • Unknown subject(s) removed a GPS and EZPass from a vehicle on the 42500 block of Shallowtail Way between 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 and 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 8.
  • Unknown subject(s) removed concrete forms from a construction site on the 42200 block of Winter Haven Drive between 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 and 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 9.
  • Unknown subject(s) removed copper coil from a construction site on the 23300 block of Evening Primrose Square around 5:18 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.  

Suspicious Person

  • A resident returned home and observed an unknown subject standing in his yard on the 42700 block of Mirror Pond Place around 2:53 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10. The subject was described as a Hispanic male, 5’4” to 5’8” tall, with an average build. The subject left the scene. There were no signs of forced entry.  

Vehicle Tampering 

  • A resident of the 43500 block of Laidlow Street observed their vehicle door was ajar and unknown subject(s) had rummaged through the glove box between 12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 and 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4. The vehicle was left unlocked. Nothing was reported missing. 
  • Unknown subject(s) entered an unlocked vehicle on the 43600 block of Scarlet Square and rummaged through the interior between 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 and 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4. Nothing was reported missing.
