Sully District Police Report: 26-Year-Old Locust Grove Woman Impersonates a Law Enforcement Officer

A summary of incidents reported for September 1-7.

For the week ending on September 7, there were three major incidents, six larcenies and two vehicle thefts included in the Sully District Activity Report. 

Major Incidents 

  • *UPDATE: OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING: Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Ray Morrogh has informed Colonel Dave Rohrer, Chief of Police, that he finds no basis for criminal liability on the part of the police officers who discharged their weapons in an officer-involved shooting that occurred during the early-morning hours of Thursday, July 21 at a home in the . No charges will be filed against PFC Jonathan Keitz or PFC Stephen Sykes, the officers involved in the incident. Read the . 
  • *FATAL CRASH: Timothy Ray Schleeter, 50, of Old Glebe Road in Arlington died after the 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was riding collided with a deer. The crash occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 24 shortly before 8 p.m. on Compton Road near the intersection of Balmoral Forest Road. The motorcycle was traveling westbound on Compton Road. The deer struck the motorcycle on the left side causing it to go down. The rider hit the pavement and slid off the road to the right. Schleeter was medevacked to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead the following afternoon.
  • IMPERSONATING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/BRANDISHING A FIREARM/RECKLESS DRIVING/FAILING TO OBEY AN OFFICER’S HAND SIGNAL TO STOP/ASSAULT/ARREST: Police arrested a woman for brandishing a firearm at a 16-year-old girl and presenting herself as a law enforcement officer. Serena A. Kivett, 26, of Locust Grove, Virginia was arrested and charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer, brandishing a firearm, reckless driving, failing to obey an officer’s hand signal to stop and assault. The victim was not injured.

  • 4100 block of Pleasant Meadow Court: Key stolen from residence
  • 4000 block of Spring Run Court: License plate stolen from vehicle
  • 4000 block of Westfax Drive: Rims stolen from vehicle
  • 14000 block of Willard Road: Airbags stolen from vehicle 

Vehicle Thefts 

  • 13900 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway: 2009 Acura
  • 14900 block of Rydell Road: 2007 Nissan Sentra
