Sully District Police Report: Murder, Marijuana Possession
A summary of incidents reported for June 2-8.

For the week ending on June 8, there were three major incidents, 23 larcenies and no vehicle thefts included in the Sully District Activity Report.
Major Incidents
- *CAT TESTS POSITIVE FOR RABIES: Animal Control Officers responded to the area of 4200 Lees Corner Road for a report of an animal bite on Friday, June 3. A 25-year-old man and an 11-year-old girl were both bitten by a stray cat around 7:45 a.m. Animal Control Officers captured and euthanized the cat; it subsequently tested positive for rabies. - POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA/DISORDERLY CONDUCT/DRUNK IN PUBLIC/WARRANT SERVICE/ARREST: Officers observed a 2004 Pontiac SSE near Lee Highway and Route 28 south around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 5. A passenger inside the car was hanging outside screaming profanities at people. As officers drove toward the car, the passenger climbed on top of the roof and continued to act disorderly. Police stopped the car on Lee Highway. During the stop, officers located marijuana inside the car. The passenger, Darrel Andrew Carper, 20, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, disorderly conduct and drunk in public. In addition, outstanding warrants from Harrisonburg, VA Police for trespassing and a probation violation and a capias warrant from Manassas City Police were also served. The driver, Joshua Vincent Murray, 24, of 6958 Compton Lane in Centreville was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
- *POLICE INVESTIGATE CENTREVILLE AREA HOMICIDE: Police were called to a report of a disturbance at an apartment in the 13800 block of Braddock Springs Road at around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, June 6. Police discovered the body of Mihwa Kim, 49, of 13836 Braddock Springs Road, in the residence, as well as another 53-year-old woman, and a man who all suffered from apparent stab wounds. - 5600 block of Ottawa Road: Two birth certificates stolen from vehicle
- 13500 block of Point Pleasant Drive: iPod stolen from vehicle
- 6500 block of Rockland Court: License plates stolen from vehicle
- 14100 block of Saint Germain Drive: Bicycle stolen from residence
- 4900 block of Stonecroft Boulevard: Computer stolen from business
- 14100 block of Sullyfield Circle: Cash stolen from residence
- 14300 block of Summer Tree Road: License plate stolen from vehicle
- 4800 block of Walney Knoll Court: GPS unit and laptop stolen from vehicle
- 14200 block of Willard Road: 40-inch television stolen from residence
