Sully District Police Report: Officers Shoot, Kill Armed Suspect on Kendra Way
A summary of incidents reported for July 21-27.

For the week ending on July 27, there was one major incident, 10 larcenies and one vehicle theft included in the Sully District Activity Report.
Major Incident
- *OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING: Police are investigating . Dispatchers received two phone calls at about 1:35 a.m. reporting a disturbance inside a home in the 6100 block of Kendra Way. One phone call came from an adult female inside the residence, the second from a neighbor. When officers arrived they located an armed man clearly visible inside the garage. The officers took cover as the man approached them with a shotgun. They ordered the man to stop and drop his weapon; he refused to comply with their commands. The officers subsequently shot the man. They immediately began to provide first aid until fire and rescue personnel arrived. Ricardo Leon, 34, of 6165 Kendra Way, was pronounced dead at the scene. Four officers involved in the shooting have been placed on routine administrative leave. This investigation is ongoing.
