
A Sunday fire in a South Riding building was accidental, according to Loudoun County Fire officials.
Firefighters responded to a fire in a two-story commercial building at 43184 Town Hall Plaza in South Riding around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, July 1. Units dispatched from Dulles South, Arcola, Aldie and Sterling, according to a press release from Loudoun County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management. Fairfax County and Dulles airport fire units assisted in putting out the flames.
It took about 20 minutes for firefighters to control the fire, which was consuming the first floor of the building. There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries.

The fire was caused by an accidental electrical malfunction, according the Loudoun County Fire Marshall’s Office. It caused approximately $30,000 in damage.
