• Chesterfield receives federal funding for railroad crossing improvements (nbc12.com) — Drivers and pedestrians in the heart of Chester can expect long-awaited safety upgrades at the dangerous Curtis Street railroad crossing, thanks to $2.3 million in new federal funding. Chesterfield will use the money for engineering and planning to separate the road from the tracks and close nearby West Street to cars, aiming to curb years of crashes and close calls.
