2 Men Arrested For Taking Items From Same Fairfax City Store: Police
City of Fairfax Police issued summonses to two men they say had taken merchandise from the same store on the same day.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested two men in connection with two separate larceny incidents that occurred on the same day and at the same business on Main Street.
Officers responded around 10:11 a.m. on June 24 to the Walgreens at 10320 Main St. for the report of a larceny. Police determined that a man had entered the pharmacy, took several items, and left the store without paying, according to the weekly crime report.
Police located the suspect, whom they identified as 34-year-old Ahmed Elkhalifa of Falls Church and took him into custody. Elkhalifa was given a Virginia uniformed summons for petit larceny and was released, according to police. He has a hearing scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 in the City of Fairfax General District Court.

Police returned to the same Walgreens around 4:10 p.m. for another report of a larceny. A man had entered the business, took merchandise and left without paying, according to police. The officers found 29-year-old Edwin Hernandez of Bealton nearby and took him into custody.
Hernandez was given a Virginia uniformed summons for petit larceny and was released, according to police. He also has a hearing scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 in the City of Fairfax General District Court.

In addition, Hernandez is scheduled to return to court the following day at 9:30 a.m. to face two additional misdemeanor charges, one for petite larceny and the other for being drunk in public. These charges stem from an offense that took place on June 23, according to court documents.
In the earlier incident, Hernandez was arrested at the same Walgreens on Main Street after he was found eating multiple consumable items in the store's restroom, according to police. Claiming that he was in medical distress, Hernandez was taken to Fairfax Hospital for treatment, given a summons and left in the care of hospital staff.
