Centreville Man Charged In Fairfax City Hit And Run Crash: Police
A Centreville man was arrested after driving away from a crash involving two other vehicles Saturday afternoon, according to city police.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a 34-year-old Centreville man for driving away from a multi-car crash on Saturday afternoon, according to the weekly crime report.
Responding around 1:03 p.m for the report of a crash, officers found two vehicles that had sustained significant damage at Main Street and Judicial Drive. The people who had reported the crash told the officers that a silver sedan that had been involved in the crash had left the area after its airbag had deployed.
Police found an unoccupied silver Honda sedan with its airbag deployed parked nearby. They observed two empty bottles inside the car, according to the report. At the same time, other city police officers located a man matching the description of the driver at the foot of town.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was intoxicated and he was identified as the driver of the Honda sedan, according to police.
Police arrested 34-year-old Malcom Hall of Centreville and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with drunk in public and one felony count of hit and run- attended property greater than $1,000. Police issued two additional traffic summonses to Hall, who was held on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.
