Dispose Of Halloween Pumpkins At Fairfax City Composting Center

A designated box will be available at the Fairfax City Composting Center for residents to get rid of their unwanted Halloween pumpkins.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Starting after Halloween, Fairfax City residents can drop off their unwanted seasonal pumpkins at the city composting center. According to the city, painted pumpkins and gourds will also be accepted.

The city composting center is located at Fairfax City Hall, adjacent to the community garden. It is open 24 hours per day. Residents should look for the box to the right of the composting bins when dropping off their pumpkins.
