Weather aficionados and those just curious about winter in the metropolitan region are invited to attend a Winter Storm class that begins at 6:30 p.m. October 19 in the City of Fairfax Police Station, 2720 Old Lee Highway.
The two-hour National Weather Service (NWS) winter storm class is intended to provide an overview of winter weather threats expected in this area. This can better prepare residents for the upcoming winter.
