FAIRFAX, VA — Drivers traveling westbound on I-66 outside the Capital Beltway over the next three weeks will have to find an alternate route to get to the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail Station.

At 11 p.m. on Friday, the Virginia Department of Transportation will close the ramp (Exit 62A) from I-66 West to Country Creek Road and Virginia Center Boulevard in order to conduct utility work as part of the ongoing Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. The ramp will be closed for about three weeks.

Westbound drivers wishing to get to the Metro station will have two choices. Before reaching the Metro station, they can take the Nutley Street exit, stay to the right and then take a left at the stoplight at Virginia Center Boulevard.
