Keep Your Car Doors Locked: 13 Car Break-Ins
Burglars pounce on unlocked vehicles parked in front of Fairfax City homes

In the last few days, a rash of thefts from unlocked cars parked in front of their owners’ homes occurred in Fairfax City, according to a local police report.
Vehicle break-ins were reported at 8:33 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, by the owners of 13 vehicles who live in the 10300 block of Forest Avenue, the 4200 block of Berritt Street, the 4200 block of Collier Road and the 4200 block of Sideburn Road, as well as Crescence Way and Crestar Court, according to Fairfax City police.–
The owners reported that sometime after 9 p.m. Saturday, an unknown person or persons entered their unlocked vehicles. Assorted items, including change and several electronics items, were stolen from some of the vehicles, police said.
And by 6:14 a.m. Tuesday, the owners of another five unlocked parked vehicles reported they had been entered overnight by an unknown person or persons. Items taken included loose change and GPS units, police said.
