Man Charged In 8-Year-Old Fairfax City Law Office Robbery
The suspect, who was already serving time in a Maryland prison, is accused of stealing a safe of valuables from the business.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax City police last week arrested a suspect wanted in connection with an 8-year-old robbery of a local law office. Police arrested 67-year-old Drain Maurice Short Friday on outstanding warrants connected to the February 2011 robbery.
According to police, Short broke into a law office at 4103 Chain Bridge Rd. and stole a safe containing valuables. There was no one in the business at the time of the robbery.
Short was arrested and charged with burglary, grand larceny and credit card theft (18.2-192). He was extradited from Hagerstown Prison in Maryland, where he's been incarcerated for the past eight years on local charges.

Short is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
